Adventure playground at the train station in Oybin health resort
Zwergenreich (dwarfdom) Children’s Station
The Zwergenreich Children’s Station makes kids’ hearts leap for joy when they can operate a water crane, switch the points at a signal box or actually be a train driver. Next to the Oybin station building of the Zittau narrow gauge railway, an adventure playground inspired by the railway was opened on 3rd August 2018. Both the Zittau and Bertsdorf train stations and the two-axle I K train built in 1900, as well as the VT 137 322 railcar with its trailer car are modeled on a scale of 1:3 here.
Of course, there are also operational facilities, such as a railway crossing, water crane and signal box. The opening hours from April to October are based on the operating hours of the Zittau narrow gauge railway as displayed at Oybin station.
